We, the parents of AHS Seniors, come together to make possible a memorable, safe, fun, over-night graduation celebration that keeps our kids off the road, prevents any of them from becoming an accident statistic, and allows parents to rest easy knowing that their son/daughter is safely celebrating with friends!
Project Graduation Rules
Attendance
AHS and/or Project Graduation is not responsible for registered students who do not show up to the event to board the bus. Students that do not show up for the event forfeit all prizes and incentives. Students must ride the bus to and from the event. No one may come late or leave early, and no one may transport themselves. An exception will be made for UIL sanctioned events that cause students to miss the bus, but these instances must be pre-planned and cleared with the event chairs. Upon arrival, students will be subject to the same check in procedures that are implemented at AHS (clear bag policy, breathalyzers, etc.) |
Drugs & Alcohol
Any graduate who arrives noticeably under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol will not be admitted and will be remanded to the authorities present and will be required to have a parent pick them up a AHS. Students will not be allowed to drive home. Drug dogs and breathalyzers may be used prior to students boarding the buses. A student who is not able to attend the event because of violations to this policy forfeits all prizes and incentives. Medication No medication of any kind (Rx or OTC) is allowed to be brought to the event by students. If there are any questions or concerns please reach out to an event chair prior to that night. |
Inappropriate Behavior
All students will respect the event site and do no malicious damage. Students and parents/guardian agree to assume financial responsibility for anything that is damaged by the student. Students must treat all volunteers as well as each other with respect and courtesy. In the event of any inappropriate behavior the offending student will be asked to leave or remanded to the authorities present. All prizes will be forfeited. Personal Belongings
Students will be required to turn in all wallets/keys/phones and any other personal belongings. These items will be labeled and secured in a clear bag at the event by a parent at the "check-in" station. A parent will be at this station throughout the event. Students are allowed to bring a bathing suit in good taste. Towels will be provided at the club. PG is not responsible for lost items. |
